How exactly does a Padel Americano game work?

Before each round, the system randomly selects your partner and opponents. During the tournament you will play with many different people. Our system ensures that there is as much rotation as possible and that you are constantly playing with different players.
Rules of the game in the match
Every match is competition to a fixed number of exchanges – most often played to 21 points. This means a match can end, for example, with a score of 11:10 or 16:5. There are no games or sets. The beauty of Americano is that matches on all courts end almost simultaneously (because everyone plays the same number of rallies) and the next round is immediately drawn.. There is almost no waiting. Thanks to this, approximately 10 matches are played within 2 hours of gameplay!
How is it served at Americano?
The serve also has its own rules: it is played like a tie-break, i.e. the first player starts with one serve, then each subsequent player serves twice, and the teams change serves if the score is odd (e.g. 2:1, 10:9).

How do you score points and who wins the game?
Your goal is to score as many points as possible in each match.. Every point actually won counts! Even if you’re losing a match, it’s worth fighting for every ball. Why? Because after the tournament ends, all your points are added up. This total determines your final standings.
How do you earn points for the LigaPadla.pl ranking by playing Americano?
If Americano is played within LigaPadla.pl, is:
- all the results of your matches are saved in your profile
- After each completed tournament you get points for LigaPadla.pl rankings
The principle is simple: The number of points depends on the place and the level of the tournament.
For 1st place, you receive as many points as there were players. Each subsequent place is 1 less point – the last player receives 1 point. If multiple players finish in the same place, each receives the same number of points.
Placement points are then multiplied by the tournament level multiplier:

If a tournament has two levels (e.g. B2/B3), the lower multiplier applies.
Final ranking points = place × multiplier.
Example:
In Americano B1/B2, 16 players participate. The winner earns 16 points. Then, we multiply these points by the B2 level multiplier, which is x2.0 (because in combined categories, and in this case, B1/B2, the multiplier from the lower level is taken into account). Ultimately, the winner receives 16 points x 2.0 multiplier = 32 points towards the LigaPadla.pl rankings.
AMERICANO PADEL - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does an Americano tournament last?
While there are no restrictions, most clubs organize Americano sessions lasting two hours. During this time, you can play about 10-12 rounds, which, given the high intensity and lack of breaks, means you can get a good workout in those two hours..
In the LigaPadla.pl system, organizers must provide the start and end times of the tournament, so you know exactly how many hours of play you are paying for.
What if an odd number of players sign up for Americano?
In Padel Americano, this isn’t a problem – each player simply takes a break for one round (you have a 10-minute rest). This doesn’t affect your chances of winning – the suspended player receives half the maximum number of points possible in that round (e.g., in a match to 21 points, you’ll earn 11).
What level of player is Americano?
There’s no rule here, but it’s undeniable that this is the ideal game to play when you’re just starting out in padel, meaning you’re at level B3 or C. This is because in a single tournament, you can meet many players who don’t yet have permanent partners, and thus find someone to play with permanently.
Beginner players also like the fact that they can play multiple matches within 2 hours and do not have to wait for a game, which happens in professional, best-of-three-set tournaments.
But of course, there are also Americanos played at intermediate (level B2) and advanced (B1 and A). In the LigaPadla.pl system, organizers must specify the tournament level, which is visible in the tournament name, e.g., “AMERICANO B1/B2.”
What are the disadvantages of Americano?
The biggest advantage of Americano—playing with a different partner each round—is paradoxically also its biggest drawback. Because you never know what level your drawn partner will be. This randomness also influences the tournament’s final outcome—sometimes you might feel like you were unlucky in key matches. If playing with players of a similar skill level is more important to you than meeting new players, try a tournament like Mexicano.
