LigaPadla.pl competition regulations

I. DEFINITIONS

1. LIGAPADLA.PL – a federation that organizes padel competitions for both professionals and amateurs.
2. ORGANIZER – a business entity, padel club, association/foundation or private person responsible for organizing the competition.
3. PARTICIPANT – any person participating in the Padel League, regardless of origin, age, gender or playing ability.

II. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The idea of ​​the Padel League is to develop this sport throughout the country, sports competitions and the integration of the padel community in Poland.
2. The Padel League is not the organizer of individual competitions, but only the Federation that initiates, develops and administers the competitions, defining their framework and ensuring their transparency.
3. The competitions are organised by sports clubs, associations/foundations or private individuals who, together with the Padel League, wish to develop this sport in our country.

III. PARTICIPATION

1. You can join the Padel League at any time, at any time of the year.
2. Anyone can participate in the Padel League, regardless of origin, age, gender or playing ability.
3. The condition for participating in the competition is to register your account on the website www.ligapadla.pl and license activation.
4. An active license allows participation in all types of Padel League competitions for a period of 30 or 365 days, depending on the Participant’s wishes.
5. License activation occurs automatically after payment.
6. For Participants, participating in the Padel League is an active way to spend time in pleasant company, having fun while pursuing a passion for sports and sports competition, improving their game, and meeting valuable and interesting people, while also integrating with each other.
7. The sporting result is important, but having fun and respecting your opponents is more important.
8. The participant undertakes to take part in the LigaPadla.pl competition under his/her own name under pain of exclusion from the competition.
9. The participant undertakes to comply with generally accepted principles of fair play.
10. The Organizer is entitled to exclude a person from participation in the competition, during its duration or before its commencement, in the event of unsportsmanlike conduct, violation of the rules of fair play, personal culture (including the use of vulgarity, verbal or physical aggression), behavior detrimental to the good name of other competitors, organizers or failure to follow the organizer’s instructions.
11. The organizer reserves the right to intervene if it suspects a player has registered for a tournament at a level that is inappropriate for their skill level. In such a case, the organizer may offer to transfer the player to a competition at a more appropriate level or exclude the player from the tournament and refund their entry fee.

IV. COMPETITIONS AND TOURNAMENTS

1. The current calendar of all Padel League tournaments is available on the website www.ligapadla.pl in the menu under the tab “Tournaments”.
2. Registration for all tournaments is only available to people with an active Padel League account, which can also be activated immediately before registering for the selected tournament.
3. Registration for all competitions takes place only online via the website www.ligapadla.pl and start on the day of publication of a given tournament on the website and end when the specified limit of participants is reached or at the latest on the date specified on the subpage with information about a given tournament.
4. The organiser of the competition is the entity or person specified in the details of a given tournament along with its direct contact number.
5. The organizer determines the limit of participants for a given tournament, with the minimum number of participants to play a tournament being 4 people.
6. The organizer is responsible for the course and organization of the tournament in compliance with these Regulations.
7. The organizer reserves the right to replace a player who fails to show up for the tournament with another player added to the participant list. This right applies even if the tournament has already been drawn – in such cases, the added player will replace the player who failed to show up.

V. FORMULA OF THE PADEL LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS

A. American

1. The Americano tournament is played in an individual format, where each participant registers separately and pairs are randomly selected before each match.
2. Before each match, participants learn who they will be paired with and who their opponents will be. Pairings and fields are drawn to ensure maximum rotation of partners and opponents.
3. Each match in the tournament is played to the number of rallies determined by the Organizer (e.g. 11, 21, 25), without division into games or sets.
4. A match begins with the first player serving once, followed by two consecutive serves. Teams exchange serves every two points in the event of an odd score (e.g., 1-0, 2-1, 10-9, etc.).
5. The goal of each pair is to score as many points as possible in the match.
6. A Participant’s individual score is the sum of the points they personally earn in all matches played. Points are awarded for each point actually scored in the game.
7. A player who is sidelined in a given round (due to an odd number of players or a fixed rotation) receives points equal to half the maximum points possible in that round, rounded up. For example, if a match goes to 21 points, the sidelined player receives 11 points.
8. The duration of the tournament and the number of rounds are determined by the Organizer.
9. The general rules of padel apply, except for the modifications regarding scoring and match format set out in these Regulations.

B. Americano in pairs

1. The Americano in Pairs tournament is played in a team format, with participants signing up in pairs.
2. Before each match, the Participant teams learn which opponents they will play. The opponents and fields are drawn to ensure maximum rotation of opponents.
3. Each match in the tournament is played to the number of rallies determined by the Organizer (e.g. 11, 21, 25), without division into games or sets.
4. A match begins with the first player serving once, followed by two consecutive serves. Teams exchange serves every two points in the event of an odd score (e.g., 1-0, 2-1, 10-9, etc.).
5. The goal of each pair is to score as many points as possible in the match.
6. Points are awarded for each point actually scored in the game.
7. A team that is suspended in a round (due to an odd number of teams or a fixed rotation) receives points equal to half the maximum points possible in that round, rounded up. For example, if the match goes to 21 points, the suspended team receives 11 points.
8. The duration of the tournament and the number of rounds are determined by the Organizer.
9. The general rules of padel apply, except for the modifications regarding scoring and match format set out in these Regulations.

C. Mexicano

1. The Mexicano tournament is played in an individual format, where each participant registers separately and pairs are randomly selected before the first match.
2. Before each subsequent match, the Participants are paired according to the following rule: the player with the highest number of points plays in a pair with the 4th player in the order, and in the second pair 2 with 3. On the next court 5 with 8, 6 with 7, etc.
3. Each match in the tournament is played to the number of rallies determined by the Organizer (e.g. 11, 21, 25), without division into games or sets.
4. A match begins with the first player serving once, followed by two consecutive serves. Teams exchange serves every two points in the event of an odd score (e.g., 1-0, 2-1, 10-9, etc.).
5. The goal of each pair is to score as many points as possible in the match.
6. A Participant’s individual score is the sum of the points they personally earn in all matches played. Points are awarded for each point actually scored in the game.

D. Mexicano in pairs

1. The Mexicano Pairs Tournament is played in a team format, with participants signing up in pairs. For the first match, pairs are randomly selected.
2. Before each match, the Participant teams compete according to the following rules: the team with the most points plays on the first court against the second-placed team. The next court is played by the third-placed team, and so on.
3. Each match in the tournament is played to the number of rallies determined by the Organizer (e.g. 11, 21, 25), without division into games or sets.
4. A match begins with the first player serving once, followed by two consecutive serves. Teams exchange serves every two points in the event of an odd score (e.g., 1-0, 2-1, 10-9, etc.).
5. The goal of each pair is to score as many points as possible in the match.
6. A team that is suspended in a round (due to an odd number of teams or a fixed rotation) receives points equal to half the maximum points possible in that round, rounded up. For example, if a match goes to 21 points, the suspended team receives 11 points.
7. The duration of the tournament and the number of rounds are determined by the Organizer.

E. Polako

1. The Polako competition consists of two phases: the group stage and the knockout stage.
2. The group stage consists of three rounds, during which each Participant plays three matches, each time with a different partner and different opponents – randomly selected by the Padel League system.
3. During the group phase, Participants earn points both for themselves and for the partner with whom they are paired.
4. The best 4 or 8 or 16 or 32 Participants will advance to the knockout stage, depending on the number of Participants taking part in the tournament and the Organizer’s decision published no later than the day before the tournament.
5. The order of places after the group stage is determined by: the sum of points from the results of group matches, and in the case of an equal number of points, the balance of games in the tournament excluding super tie-breaks is taken into account, then the place in the ranking, and finally the order of registration for the tournament.
6. Participants who advance to the knockout stage are divided into seeded and unseeded players.
7. Seeded participants have the right to choose a partner from among the unseeded participants, and priority selection is given to players ranked 1st, 2nd, etc. after the group stage.
8. The decision of the Participants seeded after the group stage regarding the selection of a partner for the knockout stage is valid until the end of the tournament.
9. Matches in the Polako Liga Padla tournament are played according to the generally applicable rules of padel, with the following exceptions:
   
   1. unless the Organizer decides otherwise, the match lasts until a given pair wins two sets, but the set is won by the pair that first wins four games in the set
   2. There are no advantages in games, in case of a 40:40 score, a deciding point is played and the receiver chooses the side to which the ball will be passed
   3. If the score is 3-3 in a game, a tie-break is played to the 7th point by the pair, with a two-point advantage. If the score is 1-1 in sets, a super tie-break is played to the 10th point by the pair, with a two-point advantage.

F. Classic

1. Klasiko competitions take the form of team competitions, played from start to finish in fixed pairs.
2. The Klasiko competition consists of two phases: group and knockout.
3. The best 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 pairs will advance to the knockout stage, depending on the number of entries to the tournament and the Organizer’s decision.
4. Information on the rules for advancing to the knockout stage is specified in the Groups tab on the tournament website.
5. The order of places after the group stage is determined by: the sum of points from the results of group matches, and in the case of an equal number of points, the balance of games in the tournament, excluding super tie-breaks, then the sum of the pair’s points in the ranking before the tournament, and finally the order of registration for the tournament.
6. In the knockout stage, the team that loses the match is eliminated from the tournament.
7. Matches within the Klasiko tournament are played according to the generally applicable rules of padel, however, in all or part of the matches the Organizer may decide to make modifications selected from the list below:
   
   1. NO ADVANTAGE: in the event of a 40-40 tie, a deciding point is played and the receiver chooses the side to which the ball will be passed;
   2. SUPER TIE-BREAK: in the case of a 1:1 score in sets, a super tie-break is played to the 10th point scored by a given pair, with a two-point advantage maintained;
   3. SHORTENED SET: A match lasts until a pair wins two sets, but the first pair to win four games in the set wins the set. In the event of a 3-3 tie, a tie-break is played to the seventh point of the game, with any two-point advantage retained.

VI. SCORING AND RANKINGS

A. Assumptions and types of rankings

1. The LigaPadla.pl ranking system was created to encourage Participants to be regularly active and ensure a transparent comparison of their achievements, regardless of the level or competition format.
2. Points are earned individually.
3. The current Padel League Rankings are available on the subpage Rankings and updated on an ongoing basis.
4. Do current ranking classification the Participant’s 24 best-scoring tournaments in the last 365 days count.
5. Do all-time ranking the total number of points earned by the Participant throughout the history of his/her performances is taken into account.
6. Do club ranking the total number of points scored by the Participant in tournaments held in a given club is included.

B. Scoring Americano and Mexicano

1. In Americano and Mexicano tournaments, ranking points are awarded based on finishing position. The winner receives a number of points equal to the number of participants in the tournament, second place receives one less point, and so on, down to last place, which receives one point.
2. If two or more Participants earn the same number of tournament points (a tie), the player with the greater number of wins will be ranked higher. If the number of wins is also tied, the higher place will be taken by the player with the higher LigaPadla.pl ranking, or ultimately, the player who registered for the tournament earlier.

C. Polish Scoring

1. In Polako, points for each match are awarded depending on the number of sets won: 5 points for a 2-0 win, 4 points for a 2-1 win, 2 points for a 1-2 loss, 1 point for a 0-2 loss. A walkover means 0 points.
2. In the event of a walkover due to one player missing from a group match, the remaining three players receive 4 points each and a game record of 8-0.

D. Classic Scoring

1. In the Klasiko tournament, ranking points are the sum of Match Points and Bonus Points.
2. Match Points are awarded for each match, depending on the ratio of sets won: 5 points for a 2:0 win, 4 points for a 2:1 win, 2 points for a 1:2 loss, 1 point for a 0:2 loss.
3. Bonus Points are awarded based on the Final Standings. The winning pair receives a number of points equal to the number of all participants in the tournament, the next place pair receives two fewer points, and so on.
4. The Final Standings take into account the results of the group and knockout stages. Placements are determined by the tournament stage at which the pair finished and their Match Points. In the event of a tie in Match Points, the final standings will be determined by the pair’s total games, then the pair’s pre-tournament ranking, and finally, by the registration order.

VII. LEVELS AND LEVEL MULTIPLIERS

A. Levels of advancement

1. LigaPadla.pl defines 5 levels of advancement of Participants:

B. Point Multipliers

1. The following multipliers are applied to points earned in tournaments:

   A	x3.0

2. In tournaments marked with two skill levels (e.g. B1/B2), the multiplier corresponding to the lower of these levels is applied.
3. In Polako tournaments, point multipliers only apply to points earned for victories.

VIII. CANCELLATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT

1. A participant may cancel his/her participation in the tournament, which will result in his/her removal from the list of participants.
2. If the cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the start of the tournament, the Participant will receive a refund of the entry fee less a PLN 5 handling fee.
3. If the cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the start of the tournament, the Participant will not receive a refund of the entry fee.
4. If a Participant cancels his/her participation in the tournament due to illness or injury, he/she may apply for a refund of the entry fee after sending a medical certificate to the following address: kontakt@ligapadla.pl.
5. In the event that a player regularly fails to appear for a competition without having previously cancelled his participation, the Padel League reserves the right to temporarily or permanently exclude the Participant from the competition.

IX. DISCLAIMERS AND EXCLUSIONS

1. Tournament participants are responsible for their own insurance.
2. The Padel League reserves the right to amend the Regulations at any time.
3. The Padel League reserves the right to exclude a Participant from the competition in the event of a breach of the Regulations.
4. Padel League / The Organizer reserves the right to exclude a Participant or Participants from the competition if they have registered for the tournament for the wrong gender.
5. By registering for the tournament, the Participant agrees to provide LigaPadla.pl and the Organizer with his/her personal data in order to conduct the tournament.
6. By registering for the tournament, the Participant consents to the publication of his or her image on the website, social media and YouTube channel of LigaPadla.pl and its partners.
7. The regulations in this content are effective from May 6, 2026.
